Observations on the Effects of Gum's

Gums were precipitated from solutions gL,Tail End Syrup and Affination Syrup6sing.acidified alcohol. The precipitated solution was centrifuged and the gums washed by successive mixing, centrifuging and decanting with alcohol. The washed gums were dissolved in hot water and reprecipitated with acidified alcohol. After further washing the gums were re-dissolved. The gums and starch content of the final solution was determined. (1 and 2).
